In Europe, the GPF works closely with the all the European Progressive forces: the Party of European Socialists (PES), the Progressive Alliance of the Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament (S&D Group), the European Young Socialists (YES), the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) the Confederation of European Trade Unions (ETUC), and the NGO network Solidar.
In Southeast Asia we promote with our regional partners meetings and common initiatives on human rights and democracy.
In Latin American we work closely with the São Paulo Forum created in 1990 to discuss a people-led and democratic alternative to neoliberalism.
In North America we have regular contacts and joint initiatives with the US Democrats and the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFLCIO). In 2009 former US president Bill Clinton was keynote speaker to one of our event.
In the Arab world, we promoted the creation of the Arab Social Democratic Forum (ASDF) in 2013.
