Climate Justice: African perspectives

As part of their research project ‘Climate justice: African perspectives and EU actions’, FEPS (Foundation for European Progressive Studies) and FMS (Foundation Max van der Stoel) are launching a new policy study showing the impact of climate change on the African continent, as told by Africans themselves, and discussing the role of the EU itself in its climate policies, as well as other policies that impact Africa.

It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the webinar "What requirements to identify endocrine disruptors?", on the 1st of July from 14:00 to 15:00.

As announced in the Chemical Strategy for Sustainability, the European Commission is planning to create new hazard classes for EDCs in the European chemical legislation. Along with these new classes, updated information requirements will be needed in order to have an efficient identification and classification of substances as endocrine diruptors to better protect health and the environnement.

Over the last months, we have continued witnessing an alarming backlash against LGBTIQ rights all over Europe, with some right-wing governments, such as in Poland and Hungary, challenging the freedom and respect of LGBTIQ people. In March, the European Parliament took an historical step by declaring the EU an “LGBTIQ Freedom Zone”. One week later, the Lisbon City Council did the same at local level and since then many other European cities are following these steps.
