Maya Wang is the senior China researcher in the Asia division at Human Rights Watch. Wang has researched and written extensively on the use of torture, arbitrary detention, human rights defenders, civil society, disability rights, and women’s rights in China. She is also an expert on human rights in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.

Maximilian Schrems is an Austrian activist, lawyer, and author who became known for campaigns against Facebook for its privacy violations, including violations of European privacy laws and the alleged transfer of personal data to the US National Security Agency (NSA) as part of the NSA's PRISM program.

Christel Schaldemose is the S&D coordinator to the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection in the European Parliament. She is Parliament’s Rapporteur on the DSA file and sits on the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age (AIDA). She is also a member on the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) and Chair of the Parliament’s Japan Delegation.
