GPF Secretary General meets Australian Labor
The Secretary General of the Global Progressive Forum, Javier Moreno Sanchez, and the Secretary General of the Party of European Socialists, Philip Cordery, met Australian Labor Party Representatives John Hogg, President of the Senate, and Catryna Bilyk, Senator, to discuss topics of common interest including financial regulation and climate change and to further strengthen relations with Australian progressives in a moment where cooperation on a global scale could not be more needed.

GPF calls for more focus on ‘double discrimination’
Fifteen years have passed since the 4th World Conference on Women and the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action. Evaluating the progress, the GPF and its Secretary General, Javier Moreno Sanchez stated that; “There have not been sufficient advances made in the last 15 years”. He emphasised that; “The issue of Migrant Women must be our priority as they are at risk of a kind of double discrimination.”
